Oscillloscope to Flashdrive Interface
Students in the electronics labs have taken to using their cell phone cameras to take pictures of the oscilloscope screen for their lab reports. I think this is clever and, for what I want in a lab report, completely acceptable. However, some of scopes will also send the screen image to the printer via a IEEE488 (GPIB) bus and those scopes also have a a parallel printer port and an RS232 connector. It would be interesting project to add a flash drive interface to these scopes so that students could store a screen image to a file for later use.
(Note: The newer scopes in this series already have the flash drive interface.)
